J3 Clothing now supplies clip on ties which are easy for pupils to attach to shirts.

It is important that all items of school uniform are clearly labelled with the child’s name.

To support our families,  all other items of uniform e.g trousers, polo shirt etc can be bought in supermarkets/high street shops at a lower price.

Dress for PE

As from September 2021 all children should come to school in their school PE kit for the days they have PE.

This comprises of:

Plain black leggings/joggers or shorts or a skort (parents can choose which item is most appropriate for the weather at that time)

NEW outdoor PE top (bought at school brands) or alternatively the school jumper/cardigan with school logo

White round neck t shirt (plain) or NEW black PE t-shirt with logo (bought at school brands)

Trainers for outdoor wear (children must bring either school schools or pumps for inside waer on PE days. We recommend an indoor PE bag which can stay in school with pumps in.

Indoor black PE pumps for indoor PE

No jewellery allowed

Please note- No other items allowed for PE wear-if your child is not wearing the correct kit they will need to come to school in their school uniform and change for the PE lessons during their breaktime.

KS2 pupils will also participate in swimming.

They will require a suitable swimming costume or trunks (no long shorts) and a towel. Swimming caps must be worn by all girls and boys with longer length hair. Earrings must be removed. If you would like your child to wear goggles, permission must be given.

Cloakroom space is restricted and parents are requested not to buy large holdalls for their children. A small bag is quite sufficient. All items of PE kit should be clearly labelled with the child’s name.

The following points are also established when the children first start in Reception and continue through to Year 6:

In the interest of health and safety, jewellery is not permissible in school.

Children with pierced ears may wear a pair of small plain studs, which must be removed for PE. Earrings must be removed by children and not by teachers. If children are to have their ears pierced, please ensure this is at the start of the summer holidays, so that they are healed in time for returning to school.

Sensible watches may be worn but must be removed for PE. Watches are not to be worn in Reception.

Extremes of fashion are not acceptable in shoes, hairstyles and other aspects of appearance.

Long hair should be tied back with sensible bands/headbands (in green, black or brown).

Sensible footwear, not trainers, should be worn in school. Black soled trainers must not be worn because they mark the floors.

Nail varnish and make-up are not part of school uniform.

Mobile phones should not be brought into school except by arrangement in Year 5/6.
